    Dr. Dan Waterman, LAT, ATC

    Dr. Dan Waterman is the owner and founder of Variable Movement LLC. He started the sports medicine clinic in June of 2021.

    Dan has been a clinically practicing Physican Rehab Clinician since 2009. He started working in secondary schools providing medical services to Mt. Blue High School and Franklin Memorial Hospital. He most recently worked in an integrative health setting as a rehabilitation coordinator, and now has put those two passions together at Variable Movement.

    Dan graduated from University of New England for his undergraduate degree, and earned his Doctorate in Athletic Training at Indiana State University. He is a published author, outdoor enthusiast, and is passionate about providing patient centered and goal oriented care.

    Bethany Charles, PTA, CPT, UESCA

    Bethany is coming over to Variable Movement as a Physical Therapy Assistant and Personal Trainer. She has almost a decade of experience in the clinical and fitness setting.

    She is excited to use her expertise as a Personal Trainer and UESCA Running Coach to the Blue Hill Peninsula. In her wide array of experiences as a healthcare provider, she has a unique ability to ‘meet you where you are at’ to avoid injuries while giving you the workout your body is craving. She is able to scale your workouts whether it has been 20 years or you ran a marathon last weekend. 

    As an avid outdoors-person and runner herself, she can help you with your training program, gait pattern and specific strengthening needs.

    Emily Coleman, RN, BSN, CCRN, USAW, CF-L2

    Emily is excited about offering traditional strength training classes to the Blue Hill Peninsula. She has 10 years of lifting experience and has been coaching group classes for 5 years in Ellsworth. Her kind and positive attitude with a keen eye for form makes her the perfect coach for new and experienced lifters alike! 

    Emily's other job has her working at EMMC as a Critical Care Nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
